Shillong, March 13 : The Border Security Force decided not to celebrate Holi on Monday a mark of tribute to 12 CRPF personnel who were killed by Naxals in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. To pray homage to the martyrs of CRPF at Sukma. Troops of Meghalaya frontier decided not to celebrate Holi this year.
Shri P K Dubey, IG Meghalaya ftr expressed his condolences to the martyrs and strongly condemned the Maoist attack describing it as a cowardly act. He also extended condolences to the bereaved families.
The sister forces like CISF ITBP and SSB expressed their solidarity with the country’s largest paramilitary forces and announced that they too will not be celebrating the festival of colours in their respective establishments.
