Shillong, Feb 25: Election campaign in Meghalaya ended on Sunday, though most of the candidates did not campaign in the form of public meetings and rallies.
As the last day of the campaign fell on a Sunday, many candidates had concluded their mega rally on Saturday.
On Sunday, the common approach of many of the candidates was by visiting houses or spent their time meeting people in their residence.
However in some constituencies like South Shillong, Congress candidate, Manas Chaudhuri did organize a public meeting.
On Saturday, candidates in various constituencies organized public meetings and thousands of supporters joined them to show their support. The candidates also organized road shows by marching on the streets or taking out a cavalcade of vehicles.
Polling in Meghalaya will be held in 59 out of 60 Assembly seats on Tuesday, and counting of votes will take place on March 3.
