Shillong, Mar 25: The Meghalaya Cricket Association's Inter District U-19 Girls Cricket Tournament 2021 began today in Nongstoin. The West Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Herbert G Lyngdoh IPS, was the chief guest on the opening day. Eleven teams will play in the tournament, divided between three groups. All the matches will be played in Nongstoin. East Garo Hills, Ri-Bhoi and All Jaintia Cricket Association form Group A; South West Khasi Hills, South Garo Hills, Shillong Cricket Association and West Khasi Hills form Group B; and East Jaintia Hills, North Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills and Tura District Cricket Association form Group C. The top team from each group and the second-best team from Group B will qualify for the semifinals.
