Cong MLA says, Home Minister should practice what he preached

Shillong, Sept 10: Congress MLA from Rangsakona, Zenith Sangma on Tuesday questioned Home Minister, James K Sangma for not attending the Assembly session for two days.

Zenith sought to know from the Deputy Speaker, Timothy D. Shira as to why the minister was absent, when Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma was replying on behalf of James in Assembly.

The deputy speaker however informed that House that the minister was not well.

“I was told that the minister was bed ridden due to ill health,” Shira said.

Zenith said that he wanted to know the reasons why the Home Minister did not attend the session because he used to raise the same question when he was in the opposition when any minister was absent.

“Therefore, we should practice what we preached,” Zenith said.
