Shillong, Apr 6: Health Minister, AL Hek on Monday said there is zero positive case of COVID-19 in the state, and all 78 samples were tested negative.
Hek told reporters that 78 samples have been sent for test at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) and all of them have been found negative.
The state government has strengthened the surveillance and control measures against the disease.
According to health officials, a total of 24,233 passengers were screened till date. Of this, 137 passengers are those coming from COVID-19 affected countries while 93 passengers have also completed observation for 28 days.
They also informed that a total of 2218 citizens are under self-quarantine and 1471 have completed the quarantine period.
Over 5354 calls were also made from the district surveillance unit (DSU) as on April 5, and 13,563 calls made from the Integrated Voice Response System (IVRS).
