Shillong,May 25: Pensioners of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd  (BSNL) and Department of Telecom (DoT) of NE-I Circle staged a dharna today in support of  17 point charter of demands. The demands include (1). Gratuity ceiling of Rs.20 lakh is extended to the BSNL Pensioners., (2). Quarterly medical allowance restored partially to BSNL Pensioners., (3). Free night call facility extended to BSNL Pensioners. Demanding revision of pension with effect from 01-01-2017, the pensioner’s body threatened of more agitation if its demands are not met. 

The dharna was staged for two hours from 11am.
