Shillong, Aug 16: The government will decide to implement the recommendations of the Fifth Meghalaya Pay Commission after getting views from an empowered committee.
An empowered committee has been formed for examining the recommendations of the 5th Meghalaya Pay Commission.
The 5th Meghalaya Pay Commission headed by former chief secretary, P.J. Bazely had submitted its report and recommendations to the State government on August 2.
The empowered committee headed by Principal Secretary (Finance) R.V. Suchiang is expected to submit its views to State government within three months.
After studying the recommendations of the Pay Commission, the empowered committee will send its views and the same would be taken up in Cabinet for a final decision.
