Shillong,Aug.29: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has decided to dissolve the four block congress committees (BCCs) which include Nartiang, the constituency of former power minister Sniawbhalang Dhar.
“In order to revamp and make more functional the following action has been taken at the level of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee and the District Congress Committee,” MPCC secretary in-charge media Charles Marngar said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
He informed the four include Nartiang BCC, Marang BCC, Mawkynrew BCC and Mawryngkneng BCC.
Rasor Rani, ex-MLA has been appointed as the new president of the Mairang BCC, Apolynarius Kon as the new president of Nartiang BCC, Lamborskhem Kharpuri as the new president of Mawkynrew BCC and Banshanlang Lawaieis as the new president of Mawryngkneng BCC, he said.
