Gang of International fraudsters from Shillong busted, six arrested

Shillong,Aug. 29: The Meghalaya Police was on Monday evening arrested six fraudsters from Shillong who was running a fake call centre which involved in an international scam of looting American citizens and other country while posing to be agents of Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Police busted the so called IRS Call Centres which is located in Dhankheti adjacent to RBI office at Fruit Garden call up American citizens and threaten them to pay the taxes.

The accused have been identified as Sweety Sutnga, Pynskhem Mawthoh and Nina Gurung from Shillong, Amit Bhomick from Tura and Riju Joseph from Kerela.

Police recovered large number of documents and scripts, DVRs which contains all the software’s whereby they communicate with the American citizens.
