Shillong Mar 12: The Meghalaya government has appointed an MCS officer as the secretary of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council to help the council in streamlining its function.
This was informed by Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma while replying on the debate to the Governor’s Address on Tuesday.
While referring to the problem faced by the GHADC especially payment of salary, the Chief Minister stressed on the need to reform various organisations like the GHADC, MCCL and others to ensure that they function effectively.
