Shillong, May 22: The state government has released the pending salary of deficit school teachers in the state for three months.
Informing this here on Wednesday, president of the Khasi Jaiñtia Deficit School Teachers’ Association (KJDSTA), Kular Khongjirem said the government through the Directorate of School Education & Literacy (DSEL) has released the salary for March to May.
He said the District School Education Officers are expected to distribute the sanctioning order to various schools soon.
Khongjirem also expressed his gratitude to the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma for immediately addressing the concern.
The Association also thanked the education department including DSEL for trying their level best to release the salary as early as possible.
Meanwhile, the KJDSTA further appealed to all the school managing committees and managements to ensure timely submission of utilization certificates (UCs) to the DSEOs to avoid delay in the release of salary and arrears in future.
