Shillong, March 09: BJP leader and health minister AL Hek on Friday said that he would soon take up the matter with the chief minister Conrad K. Sangma for resolving the issue related to building byelaws.
“The matter will be taken up before the chief minister and we hope that the issues will be resolved amicably,†Hek told reporters after a meeting with Urban Affairs Minister Hamlet Dohling and traditional heads from Golflink area here on Friday.
He said at present, people are facing difficulties even for applying permission for construction of building.
Hek pointed out that before the elections, the Dorbar Shnong of Golflink had asked him to raise the issue when he was the Minister in the previous government and he along with two other former Ministers- Ampareen Lyngdoh and Roshan Warjri wrote a letter to the then Chief Minister, Mukul Sangma after which, a meeting was called to discuss the matter.
