Shillong, Oct 10: The Khasi version of Hindi film, “Gangs of North East” was released in the city on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, producer, Kenny Lyngdoh informed that the Hindi film, also dubbed in Khasi language will be shown at Bijou Cinema from October 13 to 19.
He said that the film, which was released in Hindi in August, is about the ills of drugs and how it affects the lives of youths.
Stating that film is targeting a larger audience, he said they are planning to cover all states in the North Eastern region.
Earlier, the film was released by senior most artist of the film, A. Lamare, who played the role of a director general of police (DGP), in the presence of music director, Benjamin War and other artists.
