MDA government to prepare common minimum programme

Shillong, March 07: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said that a committee of all coalition partners will be formed to come up with the common minimum programme of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government.

“It will take sometime and we are going to put up a committee from all political parties and try to bring it into one document. We will do our best to come out with a good programme for this government,” Conrad told reporters on Wednesday.

Stating that it is not an easy task, he said each political party has got its own ideology and identity and that brings a lot of challenges.

The newly formed Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) coalition government comprised of five parties – National People’s Party (NPP), United Democratic Party (UDP), Hill State People Democratic Party (HSPDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and People’s Democratic Front (PDF) besides Independents.
