Shillong, Oct. 07: Meghalaya reported 128 new COVID-19 positive cases while 88 patients recovered from the viral infection on Wednesday.
With 128 new cases, the total COVID-19 cases to 7,165 which include 2,411 active cases, 4,694 persons who have recovered, and 60 deaths.
The new cases were 72 from East Khasi Hills district, 33 from Ri Bhoi, 11 from West Garo Hills, 04 from East Garo Hills, , 03 from South Garo Hills, 01 from North Garo Hills and 02 each from West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia HIlls districts
The 88Â patients who have recovered on Wednesday include 69 from East Khasi Hills, 07 from East Jaintia Hills, 02 from Ri Bhoi and 05 each North Garo Hills and West Garo Hills district.
East Khasi Hills district recorded the highest number of active cases with 1,693 (36 Armed Forces/Paramilitary forces, and 1,657 others), 39 in East Jaiñtia Hills district, 199 in West Garo Hills district, Ri Bhoi 154 (41 Armed Forces/Paramilitary forces, and 158 others), West Khasi Hills 11 , South West Khasi hills 17, West Jaintia Hills 42, South West Garo hills 41, South Garo Hills 13, East Garo Hills 19 and in North Garo Hills 18.
