Meghalaya hopeful to become COVID-19 free state by next 24 hrs, Says Dy CM

Shillong, May 1: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, on Friday, informed that the state government has tested 1629 samples till date out of which 1557 tested negative. The result of around 60 samples are awaited.

He also informed that out of the 11 active COVID-19 cases reported in the state, 10 patients have recovered. The sample of the 11th patient has also come out negative and the result of the re-test is being awaited.

“More or less, I should say for the last person, it will be negative. ” Deputy Chief Minister said.
