Shillong, May 12: The fifth test carried out on the 11th patient of COVID-19 on Monday has come out negative giving a big relief to the state in its fight against Corona .
Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma informed about the results of the test on the 11 patient. “The 11th patient who has been coming out positive in the last two test conducted, was tested again and the result is negative. We will have to conduct another test after 24 hours for final outcome,†Sangma Tweet .

The 11th patient tested negative in the first retest after completing the 14 day quarantine protocol. The patient’s remaining retest after the first had all tested positive. This is the second time that the patient has tested negative.
As per the health protocols Sangma also said that another test will be carried out after 24 hours. The 11th case in the state is a family friend of the first case in Meghalaya. The state on Saturday recorded a new case taking the total cases to 13 including 1 death.
