Shillong, 17 Apr 20: Food and Civil Supplies Minister, James K Sangma made a surprised visit to one of the warehouses at Them Ïew Mawlong where foodgrains had arrived from the FCI’s Open Market Sales Scheme (OMSS).

Sangma said that 2312.09 quintals out of 27,116 quintals of food grains meant for East Khasi Hills from the FCI’s Open Market Sales Scheme (OMSS) has arrived and ready to be lifted for the open market.

“We want to assure the citizens that the Government is working tirelessly to ensure there is enough stock of foodgrains to tide over this difficult and challenging crisis,” James said.
