Shillong Nov 5: The Meghalaya police on Tuesday informed that no advertisement has been issued in connection with the recruitment in the state police department.
A statement issued by Assistant Inspector General of Police, G K Iangrai, said that certain documents of the Central Recruitment Board pertaining to recruitment to various posts within the police department have been circulated in public domain in the past few days.
“As of date, the Central Recruitment Board has not issued any official advertisement to invite eligible candidates to apply for various posts within the department. Until such advertisements are published through print media and have been hosted in the website of the department, the general public should not be misled by documents being circulated through social media,†the statement said.
Iangrai also said that the Central Recruitment Board in due course of time would publish the advertisement accordingly and interested candidates are requested to follow the police department website megpolice.gov.in and social media accounts of the police department https:// www.facebook.com/meghpolice, https://twitter.com/MeghalayaPolice and https://www.instagram.com/meghalayapolice for further information regarding the recruitment.
