Shillong, July 20: Activists of the Hynñiewtrep Youth Council (HYC) on Thursday greeted chief minister, Mukul Sangma and his ministers with placards opposing railway project along with a demand to implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP) to check influx.
The chief minister received surprised greetings when he reached Mawlai, for the inauguration of the newly created Mawlai C&RD Block at Mawlai Mawtawar.
HYC activists put up placards expressing their strong opposition against the introduction of railway line and asked the state government to implement ILP in the state.
