International student exchange program inaugurated at RGIIM, Shillong

Shillong March 22: An international student exchange programme was inaugurated today at the Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management (RGIIM), Shillong.
The programme is an initiative being collaborated between RGIIM, Shillong and Mandalay University, Myanmar.
The course titled “Refresher Course in Management” is a 10-day programme aimed at facilitating MBA students to understand management through a renewed perspective in tandem with the changing global scenario.
RGIIM Board of Governors chairman, Falguni Rajkumar, inaugurated the programme.
Director of RGIIM Shillong, Prof Amitabha De, in his address, thanked the Ministry of External Affairs and Consul General, Mandalay, Myanmar for extending their much needed support in establishing and facilitating the programme.
The exchange is a student-instructor-arranged inter-cultural immersion experience featuring core Management learning, collaborative research and service.
A memorandum of Understanding with Mandalay University is in process to give this program a permanent shape and facilitate research initiatives and faculty-student exchanges in the coming years. The institute is looking forward to this exchange as a pioneer step towards building a long lasting relationship with Myanmar and other neighbouring nations.
RGIIM Shillong is one of the premier institutes of management education in the country.
Established in 2008, the institute has been focusing on grooming its participants for business with a responsibility towards the ecosystem and society.
