SHILLONG, MAY 22: Meghalaya’s SSLC 2026 overall pass percentage rose to 97.26% on Friday after the declaration of the supplementary examination results by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE).

Out of 5,631 students who took the supplementary exam across 74 centres, 5,063 passed, recording a success rate of 90.16%.

With the latest results, the total number of students who cleared SSLC 2026 stands at 47,291 out of 48,623 who appeared this year.

West Khasi Hills led the district-wise performance with a 99.34% pass rate, followed by Eastern West Khasi Hills at 99.15% and South West Khasi Hills at 97.43%.

Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma congratulated the students in a post on X, calling the outcome proof that challenges can be overcome with effort.

“The SSLC Supplementary Examination has once again shown that determination, hard work, and perseverance can overcome challenges,” Sangma said.

Citing the figures, he added, “Out of 5,615 students who appeared for the examination, 5,063 students passed successfully, recording an excellent success rate of 90.17%. With this achievement, the overall SSLC 2026 pass percentage in Meghalaya has now risen to an impressive 97.26%.” Terming it “a proud moment for our students, parents, teachers, and the entire education community of Meghalaya,” the Chief Minister encouraged the successful candidates to keep striving.

“To all successful students, I wish you the very best for your future endeavours. Continue to dream big, work hard, and make Meghalaya proud,” he said.
