Shillong, Sept 16: The District Legal Service Authourity organised a street play to create awareness on the ill effects of drug use and human trafficking at MUDA Parking Lot here on Saturday.
Street plays were presented by the personnel of Sadar Police station along with students of the Social Work Department of Martin Luther Christian University, Professionals Academy and Members of the Shillong Bar Association along with staff of the Shillong Court.
The people who spoke on the burning issue of drugs abuse and human trafficking were CJM Shillong, B. Khriam, East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Davis R Marak, Superintendent of Police (City), Vivek Syiem, Public Prosecutor, Rajiv Nath.
The speakers on the occasion stressed on the need to adopt holistic approach to tackle the menace of drugs and human trafficking which is causing greatest harm to the society.
