Nongstoiñ Sept 18: A woman from Nginïong village in West Khasi Hills district was killed after her house was struck by thunder on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Teskeiñda Wahlang (34).
Police visited the village on Monday for investigation, but the body was exempted from post-mortem following a request from the family.
According to elders in the village, the incident was strange that amid bright sunshine, the thunder struck the village around 3 pm on Sundaykilling the women inside her house.
