SHILLONG, JUL 27: One person was killed and two others injured in a suspected stabbing case in East Khasi Hills on Sunday night.  

East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem said one injured man was found near the BSF Battalion gate at 10:30 pm and taken to NEIGRIHMS. 

A body with multiple stab wounds was later found in Mawkasiang, while a third injured person was found in Mawtawar. 

 The deceased was identified as Shanbor Rani, who had prior cases of murder and NDPS offences. 

Police said all three appeared to be together.

“We are investigating the motive. It could be drug-related or a vendetta,” Syiem said. 

A case has been registered.
