Shillong, July 2025: The All Saints Club in Shillong recently transformed into a hub of creativity, colour, and community as it hosted the Food, Clothing & Accessories Festival—a lively celebration of Northeast India’s rich culture, homegrown talent, and culinary diversity.
Set in a picturesque open-air venue, the festival offered visitors a multi-sensory experience, with the aromas of freshly cooked delicacies mingling with vibrant displays of fashion, handcrafted jewellery, and indigenous crafts. The event brought together local entrepreneurs, artisans, and designers, making it a standout showcase of sustainable fashion, handmade artistry, and regional flavours.
The food court was a crowd favourite, featuring a delightful mix of traditional Khasi dishes like Jadoh and Dohneiiong, alongside popular street foods such as momos, fusion burgers, and artisanal drinks. Meanwhile, fashion enthusiasts browsed through curated stalls offering contemporary and ethnic apparel, with many brands proudly promoting eco-friendly materials and handwoven fabrics.
Accessories on display included crystal jewellery, boho-chic designs, handcrafted bags, and intricate earrings—each piece echoing the region’s unique aesthetic and craftsmanship.
More than just a shopping experience, the festival created a community-centric atmosphere. Families, students, and tourists mingled beneath strings of festive lights, enjoying live music, interactive sessions, and cultural performances. The event also spotlighted women-led brands, youth collectives, and first-time entrepreneurs, giving them a much-needed platform to connect with audiences and grow their ventures.
“It’s more than just a market—it’s a space for expression, for culture to breathe, and for local voices to be heard,” said one of the event’s curators, emphasizing the festival’s long-term vision.
With plans to make it a recurring event, the Food, Clothing & Accessories Festival not only highlighted Shillong’s growing status as a cultural and fashion-forward destination but also celebrated the spirit of creativity, identity, and entrepreneurship that defines the city’s dynamic youth and artisan communities.
