Shillong, March 17: The North East Scout & Guide Fellowship is the youth wing and independent organisation of the Bharat Scout Guide movement which is also an international movement.The fellowship is an international movement independent from bharat scout and guide which open to any young adult or senior citizen, who can give the expertise for the development of the scout and guide movement the non formal education, value base education to the young people of the state and the country. Meghalaya scout and guide fellowship President, also a principal Christ School International, Nongsder Umiam Dr.C.Wargis said, “Meghalaya have been adjudge as the best state in northeast which compel the national headquarter Indian Scout & Guide to invite us to take the leadership to form the Northeast council for scout and guide fellowship”. All the 8 state in northeast including Sikkim and north frontier railway, are invited for 1st Regional Council Meeting. The North East council is coped by the national council members, the chairman will be the president of Meghalaya Scout Guide Fellowship Dr.C.Wargis, the convener and joint secretary Diana E. Kharshiing and treasurer Mrs. Annette who is the present General Secretary of Meghalaya Scout Guide Fellowship, Wargis added. The 1st Regional Council Meeting of the Indian Scout Guide Fellowship was held from March 16- 18 at the Bharat Scouts and Guides State Headquarters for the North East States.
