Shillong, July 26: East Khasi Hills District police on Wednesday seized as many as 39 petrol bombs from a jungle following a raid conducted at Thapbalieh under Mawlai Mawtawar.
Based on intelligence input, police conducted the raid at a jungle at Thapbalieh and recovered 39 petrol bombs from the jungle.
A case has been registered and investigation is on to identify and the culprits responsible for making such explosive with ill motives to disturb peace and tranquility.
Earlier, following protest against railway project in Ri Bhoi District by the KSU, a series of petrol bomb attacks on government offices, vehicles and shops in East Khasi Hills district was reported.
