Diengdoh to be elevated as judge of Meghalaya High Court

Shillong Oct 17: The proposal for the elevation of Meghalaya’s Judicial Officer, Wanlura Diengdoh as judge of Meghalaya High Court has been approved by the Supreme Court Collegium.

During the meeting on October 15, the Supreme Court Collegium after taking into consideration the material on record, approved the proposal to elevate Diengdoh as judge of the Meghalaya High Court which at present has only two judges which comprised Chief Justice, Ajay Kumar Mittal and Justice, H S Thangkhiew.

Diengdoh is presently the District and Sessions Judge, Shillong.

He joined the judicial service in 2000 as an Additional District and Sessions Judge. Later he held the post as the first Registrar General of the High Court of Meghalaya. He was also the Member Secretary of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority
