Shillong, May 13:Â Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong on Wednesday apologised to students of the State who had arrived from Rajasthan.
 “We as a government we apologize and from now on there will be no communication gap,†he told reporters in his daily briefing on Wednesday.
Around 24 students who returned from Rajasthan reached the state capital on Tuesday morning and were made to wait inside a bus for more than five hours before they were allowed to go home.
These students and the woman had reached Polo at around 05.30 am and waited till 11 am before they were allowed to go home.
There were 33 students in all, nine from Garo Hills, and 24 from Shillong.
“These students had arrived in the state by a transport provided by the institute they were studying in Kota (Rajasthan) to prepare for NEET,†Tynsong said
He said the students who had started their journey on Saturday reached Byrnihat on Monday but had to go and drop the nine students from Garo Hills region.
The institute apart from the bus, had provided the students food and water.
