SHILLONG, Nov 4: Meghalaya’s Information Technology & Communication (IT&C) Department has been awarded the “Dual Platform Achiever” title for becoming one of the few states to integrate seamlessly with both the DigiLocker and EntityLocker platforms of the National eGovernance Division (NeGD).

The award was presented during the DigiLocker/EntityLocker Conference held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on Tuesday, where top-performing states were recognised for advancing Digital India through departmental e-service integration.

Commissioner & Secretary Pravin Bakshi said the dual integration reflects Meghalaya’s commitment to delivering secure, trusted, and interoperable digital solutions for both citizens and institutions. “By adopting both platforms, Meghalaya has demonstrated leadership in future-ready governance,” he noted.

He also highlighted the crucial coordination and effort of the IT&C Department, the Planning Department, and the SeMT Meghalaya team in achieving this milestone.

The conference brought together senior policymakers, regulators, industry experts, academia, and technology partners to discuss the future of trusted digital document exchange in India. Discussions centred on DigiLocker’s growing role in citizen-centric governance and its integration across education, fintech, government services, and value-added applications.

The event was graced by S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY.
