Shillong, August 20: The tournament committee of the Shillong Sports Association (SSA) has revised the kick-off times for the remaining matches of the ongoing Shillong Premier League 2026, citing reduced daylight hours and unpredictable monsoon weather.

The SSA said the comprehensive revision of the fixture schedule has been made with a focus on player safety, pitch integrity and fair competition. Kick-off timings have accordingly been adjusted for the remaining fixtures of the tournament.

The revised timings will come into effect from Friday, beginning with the much-anticipated clash between Mawlai and Shillong Lajong.

The match, which brings together two former champions, will now kick off at 5:30pm. The encounter is expected to draw considerable interest, with both sides having produced high-quality contests whenever they have met.
