Shillong, July 4: Police have arrested three persons who allegedly involved in attacking Rishan Rapsang, the brother of Congress legislator from West Shillong, Mohendro Rapsang recently.

“We have arrested three people suspected to have involved in the crime after analysing the CCTV footage,” SP (City) S. Rynjah said on Wednesday

One suspect was also arrested on Wednesday and handed over to Lumdiengjri police station after he confessed to have involved in the crime.

However four suspects were seen in the police station, detained by police for questioning in connection with the incident.

Last week, a masked assailant had attacked Rishan Rapsang with an iron rod while he was entering from a gate in his compound at Jaiaw Langsning. The assailant took away Rishan’s bag.

Rishan was returning home from office when he faced the attack.

According to a CCTV footage that went viral, the assailant, who had covered his face with a jacket and wore slippers, waited Rishan in his compound and hit him with an iron rod on the head.
