Shillong, May 12: A two-day Science Exhibition under RMSA on the Theme” Science and Technology for Nation Building” organised by the office of the District School Education Officer & District Project Coordinator, RMSA, West Jaintia Hills was inaugurated by Shri R. Rapthap, Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills on 11th May, 2017 at St. Mary Mazzerello Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Jowai.
Inaugurating the Exhibition, the Deputy Commissioner said that science plays a very important role, helped us to explore and lighter our toils and has served human beings in all walks of life. He said that such exhibitions will help the students to be more creative and will improve their knowledge. He encouraged the students to share their ideas and learn from each other and also urged upon the teachers to exploit the inner talent of the young students and to motivate them to perform better.
Earlier, Smti M. Pde, District School Education Officer & District Project Coordinator RMSA, Jowai informed that around 20 schools both from Rural and urban participated in the exhibition. She also informed that the objective of the exhibition is to encourage the students to showcase their capability and to help them explore innovative ideas.
Sr. E. Marwein Principal of St. Mary Mazzerello Girls Higher Secondary School, Sr. R. Susngi Superior St.Mary Mazzerello, R. M Gassah, Sub-Divisional School Education Officer, Jowai, teachers were also present for the inauguration functional.
