Shillong, June 15: Lamlynti Sports Club on Sunday evening officially unveiled its team jersey ahead of the upcoming 3rd Division Football League to be organised by the Shillong Sports Association in Shillong.
The event was held under the leadership of the club’s president, Bah Robert Khongjoh, and marked the team’s preparations for the much-anticipated league campaign.
The jersey was formally unveiled by Streamly Nongjop Suchen of Dkhiah West, East Jaintia Hills District, who currently serves as the President of the Khasi Students’ Union East Jaintia Hills District Unit.
Players of Lamlynti Sports Club, invited guests and well-wishers attended the programme, extending their support and encouragement to the team ahead of the competition.
Addressing the gathering, Streamly Nongjop Suchen said that sports clubs such as Lamlynti Sports Club play a vital role in nurturing young football talent by providing aspiring players with a platform to showcase their skills and sporting abilities.
He noted that football has evolved into an important avenue for employment and career opportunities, urging the players to remain dedicated, disciplined and committed to pursuing their sporting ambitions.
Expressing confidence in the team’s prospects, he conveyed his best wishes to Lamlynti Sports Club for the forthcoming SSA 3rd Division League and expressed hope that the club would perform admirably and bring pride and honour to Meghalaya through its achievements on the football field.
