In a video statement, Sangma said the process of constituting the commission was already underway, with discussions on its formation completed and the remaining formalities being processed.
“We are happy to inform everyone that we have decided to constitute the Sixth Pay Commission. The process is already underway,” the Chief Minister said.
Sangma said the government expects to announce the chairperson and members of the commission within the next one to two weeks.
