Shillong, June 06: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) disciplinary committee has discussed the complaint lodged against Power Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar by the Jowai Block Congress Committee (JBCC) who was accused of indulging in anti-party activities after he campaigned for his brother-in law, Wailad Shylla who is planning to contest from Jowai against Deputy Chief Minister, Dr R.C. Laloo in the upcoming Assembly election.
Congress member and senior advocate, W.H.D. Syngkon is the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee.
When reporters asked MPPC President, D.D. Lapang, he said that the disciplinary committee has discussed the issue and the committee is likely to submit its report soon to the MPCC, CLP leader and the AICC.
“We are cannot say anything and we have to study the report of the disciplinary committee,” he said.
Dhar had earlier said that his brother-in law who is with the Congress, would seek Congress ticket from Jowai in the upcoming Assembly election and there was nothing wrong for him to support his brother in law who has been in the Congress when he wanted to contest the election and seek Congress ticket from Jowai.
