Shillong,May 16: The scientific knowledge and historical knowledge is the ideal nature to reflect their ethical worthiness in the context of the cultural tradition, said Former Rajya Sabha member Prof Mrinal Miri on delivering the keynote address in inaugurating the National Seminar as the chief guest.
Prof Mrinal Miri said, this seminar will help the student to know the concepts of ethical sustainability and conflict emerging due to so called modernization and the significance of peace as a means for conflict resolution in ethnic people specifically in North East India.
The inaugural function on a three-day national seminar organise by the Department of Philosophy, Lady Keane College in collaboration with the Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi & Indian Council of Social Science Research, North Eastern Regional Center was chaired by the College Principal Dr (Mrs) C. Massar .
The seminar was attended by Swamiji Prasanna Venkatachariar Chaturvedi Founder, Ramanuja Mission Trust, Chennai, Prof. Dilip Kumar Mohanta, vice-Chancellor Sanskrit College and University, Kolkata as guests of honour.
The student of Khasi traditional music enthralled the audience with their songs.
