Shillong, July 15: World population fortnight is being observed by the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS).
This is being observed from July 11 to 24 with an aim to increase population awareness on various population issues.
The opening ceremony was held on July 11.
NEIGRIHMS has set up an exhibition-cum-help desk outside the Gynae and Obstetric department where three trained hospital professionals educated the people regarding various safe methods of population control.
