Shillong April 26: The hearing of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on ban on coal mining in Meghalaya will be held on Thursday.
The NGT held the hearing in Tuesday in New Delhi but fixed another hearing on Thursday where the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, are expected to give their responses on mining guidelines submitted by Meghalaya.
The NGT has banned coal mining in Meghalaya three years ago on April 17, 2014, after adjudicating a petition filed by the All Dimasa Students’ Union and the Dima Hasao District Committee from Assam.
