SSA-SEMAM released the Pending Salary and Arrears of SSA Teachers in the state

Shillong, June 03: In order to disburse the salary and arrear of around 12481 Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers in the state, the SSA teachers union in the state, Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA) Central Body on June 2 met Ambrose Ch. Marak  State Project Director of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan State Education Mission Authority Meghalaya (SSA-SEMAM) at the city. The salary of SSA teachers have been pending for the last three months, March, April and May 2017 and the arrear of the enhanced salary of financial year 2016-17 as per notification issued by SEMAM on October 31 last year and MHRD – PAB 2016 have been pending for one year, from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017.

State Project Director (SPD) of SSA-SEMAM inform, salary for the month of March and April 2017 have been transferred to the account of all the District Mission Coordinators’ (DMCs) concerned along with arrear w.e.f.1st April 2016 to 30th June 2016 and by next week it will be disburse to all the SSA teachers, H.M.Marbaniang General Secretary of MSSASA Central Body informed the media after the meeting.

Aristotle C. Rymbai, President Meghalaya SSA Schools Association Central Body, expressed gratitude to the MUA-II government, the education department and its officers  especially Principal Secretary D.P.Wahlang who is also the State Mission Director (SMD) of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan State Implementation Society SEMAM and Ambrose Ch.Marak State Project Director SSA-SEMAM which has fulfill the demands of the union especially the relaxation of the fixed remuneration (pay) to the untrained SSA teachers for the financial year 2017-18 which will be effective from 1st April, 2017 as discussed earlier with the official of the union. At the meantime A.C. Rymbai also requested all the SSA teachers to cooperate with the union and the office of the SPD for a while related the matter of the remaining arrear.
