Shillong, Jun 03: Former MLA, Anthony Lyngdoh passed away today morning. He was 69.
Lyngdoh had represented the erstwhile Laban Assembly constituency for two terms as member of the Hills People Union (HPU).
He first won in 1988 on HPU ticket when he defeated Bhaskar Choudhary of the Congress. He again won in 1993 but in 1998, he fought on UDP ticket and lost to late Thrang Hok Rangad of the BJP.
The funeral will be held on June 5 at Laban Presbyterian Cemetery, Lawsohtun.
