Shillong, June 03: Congress has decided to prepare strategies for the upcoming Assembly election based on the feedbacks it received from party functionaries and workers at the grassroots of the state.
This was informed by AICC general secretary, C.P. Joshi while speaking to reporters after holding a review meeting with Congress leaders and functionaries at the Congress Bhavan here.
Joshi said that he had come to Meghalaya to interact with party functionaries and workers and during the interactions, the party has received feedbacks based on which, strategies would be prepared for the upcoming Assembly poll.
Joshi however refused to comment if regulation on sale of cattle and ban on beef would be the main issue of the Congress against the BJP in the upcoming Assembly poll.
“We have our own strategies and the BJP has been trying to strengthen itself and create space in the entire Northeast,” Joshi said.
He also refused to comment on reports that many sitting Congress MLAs would leave the party.
