Shillong, Feb 19: The Budget Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will be held from March 8 to 22.

This is the second budget session of the tenth Assembly.

The calendar for the Budget Session was approved by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) headed by the Assembly’s Speaker, Donkupar Roy in a meeting held here on Tuesday.

There will be 10 working days of which, 8 days have been allotted for the government business and 2 days for private members’ business.

Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy will deliver his address on the first day of the budget session.

The budget will be passed on March 22.
