Shillong, Oct 24: The Shillong Referees’ Society, in collaboration with the Shillong Sports Association, concluded a three-day upgradation workshop and examination for football referees in the state today.
The workshop, which commenced on October 22, was led by Joy Chandra Singh, Head of Referees (North East Zone) at the All India Football Federation (AIFF), who served as the chief resource person.
A total of 48 referees participated in the programme, including 16 female and 32 male referees from across Meghalaya.
The workshop aimed to equip referees with real-time knowledge and hands-on experience in supervising football matches, with a focus on enhancing officiating skills and raising the overall standard of the game in the state.
