SHILLONG, JAN 16: The state Cabinet has approved the Meghalaya Border Area Development Service Rules 2025.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said, “The service rules for the Meghalaya Border Area Development department have been approved by the cabinet today. These are normal rules which need to be cleared by the cabinet so that different aspects of promotion and services are clear.”

According to him, the approval of the service rules is expected to bring clarity on various aspects of service and promotion for employees of the Border Area Development department.

Based on that, all departments have been instructed to come up with their respective service rules, he added.
