Shillong, May 11: Thousands of Catholic faithful from across the parish participated in a solemn Marian Procession organised by Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, Pynthorumkhrah on May 10 as part of the devotion dedicated to Mother Mary during the month of May, which is widely observed by the Universal Church as the Month of Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary.
Speaking during the procession, Father Gedwind Warbah elaborated on the spiritual significance of Mother Mary, describing her as “full of grace” and a symbol of faith, humility and obedience to God. He said the Church recognises Mother Mary as the Mother of Jesus Christ and a guiding motherly figure for humanity.
Father Warbah emphasised that the month of May holds special importance for Catholics throughout the world as devotees gather daily to offer prayers through the Holy Rosary and seek blessings for families and communities.

He also highlighted the deep love and respect believers have towards Mother Mary, saying generations of Christians continue to honour her purity, compassion and spiritual beauty.
The Marian Procession witnessed thousands of faithful walking together in prayer and devotion, singing hymns and reciting the Rosary while seeking peace, unity and blessings for the Christian community of Pynthorumkhrah Parish and the wider society.
The atmosphere throughout the procession remained solemn and prayerful as devotees carried statues and religious symbols dedicated to Mother Mary.
