SHILLONG, JUL 27: The SDRF on Sunday recovered the body of a Shnongpdeng resident who drowned in the Umngot River.  

The search operation began at 9:30 a.m. after the incident was reported. 

SDRF personnel, aided by locals, used a Rescue Inflatable Boat and barbed wire to trace the body, which was found at 4:10 p.m.  

Police completed the required formalities before the body was handed over to the family, officials said.
