Shillong, September 9: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has clarified that the newly created Muliang Community and Rural Development Block is currently operating from a temporary office.

Tynsong said a committee constituted to examine the matter had recommended that the permanent Block headquarters be established at a centrally located and easily accessible site.

“Since Muliang Block covers a vast geographical area, its headquarters should be located at a suitable place that can conveniently serve residents from all parts of the Block, including villages near the interstate border,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister added that the Government would take an appropriate decision after considering the committee’s recommendation and the convenience of residents across the Block.
