Tura MP urges Union Minister to open passport office at Tura

Shillong, March 27: Tura MP, Conrad K. Sangma ​has requested the Centre to open a passport office at Tura, the main town in Garo Hills.
To push this issue, Conrad  met Union minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi ​to urge  the Centre to set up Passport Office at Tura ​, to which the ​Union ​ Minister also ​ assured the Tura MP to look into the matter, and would inform him accordingly.
​Meghalaya has one Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) ​office at  Shillong ​. The office ​was inaugurated on November 14, 2014.
